Tinubu Congratulates Election Winners in FCT, Kano, and Rivers

President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to the winners of Saturday’s elections in the Federal Capital Territory, Kano State, and Rivers State, describing their victories as a mandate of trust from the people.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted area council elections across the FCT, as well as by-elections in Ahoada East II and Khana II state constituencies in Rivers, and Kano Municipal and Ungogo constituencies in Kano.

The President urged the winners to serve with humility, patriotism, and dedication, emphasising that the mandate they received is a sacred trust that must be upheld.

He commended FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for his notable achievements in the territory, which he said translated into political gains for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tinubu also praised the APC national leadership, party officials in Kano and Rivers, and members across the country for the electoral victories.

He lauded INEC, security agencies, and voters for ensuring the elections were peaceful and orderly, while acknowledging the courage and discipline demonstrated by all candidates.

According to the President, the successful polls further reinforce Nigeria’s democratic culture and institutions. He called on INEC to continue refining its processes to deliver even more exemplary elections in the future.
