President Bola Tinubu has approved the urgent construction of a military barracks in response to the horrific attacks that left over 200 people dead across three local government areas in Plateau state.
The Barracks will be located in the Miller Farm (Gada Biyu) Mbar District of Bokkos local government district.
President Tinubu instructed General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defense Staff, on how to coordinate the execution of this plan in order to address the security concerns in the area.
Former governor of Plateau state, Joshua Dariye had made efforts to facilitate the establishment of the Barracks to halt the continuous attacks that have resulted in loss of life, widespread looting, and destruction of property.
Once operational, the Barracks will swiftly intervene to address the relentless attacks and killings in Bokkos, Mangu, Riyom, Barkin Ladi, and neighbouring Nasarawa state. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
