On Sunday, thieves broke into a family home at Agbama Estate, Umuahia, Abia State, by scaling the fence. They carted away a generator and a German Shepherd dog, leaving residents bewildered.
The unusual theft has sparked mixed reactions, with some describing it as both alarming and a sign of the growing hardship in the area.
“It’s funny, but also troubling. Hunger in town is no joke,” a neighbor remarked.
