Former Niger Delta agitator, Asari Dokubo, has made a strong commitment to eradicating oil theft in the Niger Delta region.
Following a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Villa in Abuja on Friday, Dokubo expressed his determination to ensure zero oil theft in the area.
Dokubo, who had been a staunch supporter of President Bola Tinubu during the presidential campaigns and continued to show his allegiance at the polls, emphasized the importance of curbing oil theft as part of Tinubu administration’s economic objectives.
It would be recalled that the President had, earlier in the week, met with some other key figures from the region, including former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Timi Alaibe, and former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). Dr Dakuku Peterside.
