“The Dèvil Took Advantage of My Absénce” — Pastor Kumuyi Opens Up on Late Wife’s Dèath, Declares Spïritual Révenge

Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has emotionally revealed that the death of his first wife, Abiodun Kumuyi, in 2009 was partly due to his absence at home on that fateful day.

Speaking during the Global Workers’ Conference at the Deeper Life International Conference Centre, the respected preacher shared how he was away ministering at a church retreat on April 11, 2009, when the devil struck. His wife, aged 57, passed on after a brief illness.

“I was preaching here that Saturday, and the devil worked on my absence,” he said, reflecting on the painful memory. The couple had been married since September 13, 1980, and had two sons, Jeremiah and John. Kumuyi later remarried in London in 2010.

Though heartbroken, Pastor Kumuyi said he found strength through prayer. Turning his pain into purpose, he described his global evangelism as “revenge against the devil.” Since her passing, he has intensified his outreach, covering almost every part of Nigeria, most African countries, and every continent.

“Blind eyes have opened, deaf ears have opened, the lame have walked, and the dead have been raised,” he declared, emphasizing that his ministry has entered a new level.

He encouraged believers to take spiritual authority over their homes and lives, saying: “Anywhere I go now, I will be in charge. Nothing will be allowed to steal anything away.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
