“Thank God say I no do oh” – Mixed reactions trail as Binance distances self from Tapswap says Tapswapper risks getting sc@mmed

Reactions have trailed moment Binance, a major cryptocurrency exchange platform via it comment section distance self from a trending crypto mining platform on telegram, Tapswap that has got Nigerians into frenzy.

As earlier reported, the mining platform, Tapswap announced a whooping offer, which netizens which changed the atmosphere to an exciting one.
Announcing the offer, Tapswap via its verified X handle on Wednesday, 5th of June, 2024 said:

“Exciting news 🔥🔥🔥

The moment you’ve been waiting for is here! The special mission has officially started. The clock 🕐 is ticking on this time-limited mission, so jump in now and accomplish it.

Once you register on #Binance  and complete the KYC process, you will receive the $600 welcome voucher in your Binance app.

Good luck!”

Following the announcement, Binance who happened to be one of the major wallet Tapswap claimed to have partnered with in a statement shared by Binance Customer Support, distances self saying,

“Hi! Please remember that it’s imperative you keep your User Identification Number (UID) confidential and we don’t recommend sharing it with this platform. ^LK”

The distancing comments, as noted by Freshreporters Media came severely under Tapswap verified X handle. In a series of post, Binance said

“Hi!
We recommend that you maintain your personal information private and not disclose it to any third parties as it may lead to potential risks. Also, be wary of offers that promise large returns as they might not be genuine.
If you need any further guidance, we’re here for you in our private chat”

“Hello there.
We strongly advise you to refrain from sharing your personal details with anyone to avoid potential risks. Exceptionally large rewards may not be as legitimate as they seem.
Should you require any additional help, feel free to reach out to us via our private chat”

“Hello, there.
Please note that Binance ID is just like a bank account number . Sharing Binance ID not affect your account .
Binance account just be affected if you share password, email code, SMS code.

The severe warning however sparked reactions.

@frankfashion9: You guys did nothing. Some of us invested a lot thousands while some lost almost everything they have . We all did that because we trusted @binance but nothing good came out of it .. now you come out to air such provoking words without even being specific why ??

@Jnuesiri: I thought you people recognize tapswap? I did share my UID with the platform. How do i protect my binance account?
