The Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has challenged individuals claiming credit for the late Muhammadu Buhari’s rise to the Nigerian presidency to disclose how much they contributed.
Speaking during a session on X Space, Amaechi emphasized that it was God and the Nigerian people who made Buhari president.
Bola Tinubu has been suggesting that his influence played a significant role in Buhari’s 2015 election victory.
During his 2022 campaign in Ogun State, Tinubu stated that he supported Buhari’s presidency, implying that 2023 would be his turn.
However, Amaechi said,
“God and the Nigerian people chose Buhari as President over any other candidate.
“If somebody claims that Buhari became President because of them, they should explain how much they contributed and what else they did.”
