The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued an invitation to Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bawa arrived at the DSS headquarters in Abuja earlier yesterday , responding to the summons from the security agency.
The invitation extended to Bawa is directly connected to ongoing investigative activities involving him. The specifics of the investigation have not been disclosed at this time. However, it is clear that the DSS is seeking further information and clarification regarding certain matters related to the suspended EFCC Chairman.
Mr. Peter Afunanya, Ph.D., fsi, the Public Relations Officer of the DSS, confirmed the invitation and the purpose behind it. While the details of the investigation remain undisclosed, it is evident that the DSS is actively engaged in gathering information and conducting a thorough examination of the situation involving Abdulrasheed Bawa.
