Roland Raymond, 32, of Detti Village, Ganye LGA, has been taken into custody by the Adamawa State Police Command on suspicion of criminal intimidation related to kidnapping.
Alhaji Yahya Congo and Abraham Paul said that the suspect had phoned them over the phone and demanded 600,000 Naira or risk being abducted. As a result, the culprit was taken into custody.
Following the receipt of the allegations, the Ganye Division police, working with hunters, moved quickly to deploy and apprehend the suspect as he was about to collect the requested money.
