Nigerian music superstars and entertainers, Tems and Wizkid, were part of the first set of winners to be declared in the 2023 National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People Awards, NAACP.
Grammy award-winning Tems’ ‘No Woman No Cry’ cover for Black Panther won the Outstanding International Song category.
Also music star Wizkid’s feature on Chris Brown’s ‘Call Me Everyday’ won the Outstanding Collaboration (Contemporary) category for the award.
Other winners include American supper star Beyonce, who won three categories including Outstanding Female Artist, Outstanding Soul/R&b song for ‘Cuff It’ and Outstanding Album for ‘Renaissance’.
The winners were first declared on the first night of the show on Monday night.
The NAACP award celebrates black entertainers across the nation.
