STRIKE: We’ll No Longer Keep Quiet – NANS Threatens Protest On Wednesday Over ASUU Strike

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS has expressed it disappointment in the path of Federal Government and the striking universities lecturers over their inability to meet agreement and reopen universities so that students can go back to classes.

The NANS zone B, South-South disclosed through it public relation officer, PRO In a statement, by the union, signed by Comr. Ekanem Utibe Jnr.

According to the statement released, stated: We have received with dismay the decision by the academic staff Union of universities (ASUU) to continue the already (4)four months old lingering industrial action, saying there will be no need to call off the strike”.

“This strike has rendered Nigerian students studying in various federal and state universities redundant and Unproductive hence we are totally disappointed in the federal government and the ASUU”

“It is on this premise that we elect to jettison reticence or watch aloof as our destines are being exchange for selfish gain against the collective good of our beloved and only country .To this end we are confronted with a dire need to express our displeasure within civil premises……”read partly.
