Soldiers kill 40 terrorists, rescue 131 abducted Nigerians

The military high command has revealed that the troops of Operation Hadin Kai have been very successful in their recent operations against terrorism in Nigeria’s North East. Over the past two weeks, the troops have been able to neutralize 40 terrorists, apprehend 25, and arrest eight terrorist logistics suppliers.

In addition, the troops have also rescued 131 abducted civilians who had been held hostage by the terrorists. These were people who had been taken away from their homes and families and forced to live in captivity. The troops were able to find them and free them from their captivity, bringing them back to safety.

Furthermore, a significant number of Boko Haram/Islamic State of West Africa Province terrorists and members of their families surrendered to the troops during the operations. The surrendered individuals included 54 adult males, 164 adult females, and 292 children. In total, 510 terrorists and their families gave up and surrendered at different locations within the theatre of operations.

The troops also recovered a considerable amount of weapons and ammunition during their operations. Among the items recovered were 16 AK47 rifles, 15 Dane guns, 6 QJC 88 AA guns, 1 QJC 88 barrel, 1 SMG, 2 DSHKAA guns, 2 NSVT AA guns, 1 GMPG, 1 pump-action gun, 2 locally made double-barrel guns, 1 locally made short gun, 51 rounds of 12.7mm ammunition, and 26 rounds of 12.7 x 108mm ammunition, among others.

The military high command confirmed that all recovered items and apprehended suspects have been handed over to the relevant authorities for further action. The rescued terrorists, escapees, and members of their families were profiled and given medical attention. The surrendered terrorists and members of their families are also being profiled for further action.
