The management of controversial singer, Badmus Habeeb Okikiola popularly known Portable, has revealed that the street singer wasn’t arrested, adding that he went to the police station by himself.
This comes after the singer was detained.
The management made known in an Instagram post on Portable’s handle .
The statement read, “Remain calm as everything is under control. We are writing this for those reaching out to us. Portable was not arrested, he went to the police station himself to honour the invitation of the police.
“Police is our friend. We trust and believe the force will carry out their investigations and everything will be done appropriately. We are positive that all will go well as he is with the CP and the issue is being attended to.”
It added, “Thanks to everything reaching out we trust in the police force to do their investigation diligently. We are positive.”
The singer landed in police custody on Friday and was arraigned to court where he was granted on bail of N800, 000.
Meanwhile, the court adjourned the case till 26th of April, 2023 but if he could meet up with the bail conditions, the singer is free to be released from detention.
