Simon Ekpa Led IPOB Gunmen Enforce Lockdown In Enugu, Attack Schools, Public Places (Videos)

Pandemonium broke out in Enugu on Wednesday as unidentified gunmen reportedly moved through various parts of the state, enforcing a one-week sit-at-home order declared by the Simon Ekpa-led faction of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

According to reports from Daily Post, the gunmen engaged in sporadic shooting at several locations, including the New Market axis of the state, Artisan, Emene, New Haven, Abakpa, Agbani Road, and NOWAS.

These armed individuals, wearing masks to conceal their identities, were said to have carried out their activities using a Siena vehicle and tricycles. The situation caused panic among parents whose children were attending school at the time.

Some parents hastily rushed to pick up their children, while others anxiously contacted school management to ensure the safety of their kids.

A trending video showed students and teachers being questioned by the unidentified gunmen for attending school.

Local authorities have yet to confirm the incident or release any official statement regarding the enforcement of the sit-at-home order.
