Sidi Ould Tah succeeds Nigeria’s Akinwumi Adesina as AFDB president

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has appointed Sidi Ould Tah of Mauritania as its new president.

His election took place on Thursday during the AfDB’s annual meetings in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

Tah succeeds Nigeria’s Akinwumi Adesina, who served as president of the continental financial institution for a decade, having first assumed office in 2015. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
