Kashim Shettima, the Nigeria Vice President played a host as Presidential delegate and governors paid a condolence visit to him in Kano.
The VP made this known in a post he shared via his verified Facebook account on Wednesday, 26th of June, 2024.
Shettima had lost his mother- in-law,Hajiya Mariam few days ago. Upon the visit he shared photos and captioned,
“Today, I received a high-powered Presidential delegation to Kano to condole with my family on the recent loss of my mother-in-law, Hajiya Maryam Albishir.
On arrival in Kano, the delegation led by Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, was received by the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.”
He added,
“Members of the delegation include Minister for Budget and National Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu; Minister for Transport, Senator Sa’idu Ahmed Alkali; Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Abdullahi Tijani Muhammad Gwarzo; Special Adviser on General Duties, Dr. Aliyu Moddibo, and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (North West), Abdullahi Yakasai.”
“Upon arrival in Abuja earlier this evening, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) and Kwara State Governor, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, led other State Governors on a condolence visit to me.
The Governors who were joined by former Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Hajiya Maryam Albishir.
