The Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, has empowered no fewer than 5,000 constituents across the five local government areas of Ekiti Central Senatorial District.
Bamidele was accompanied to the venue of the empowerment programme by Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Christianah Afuye, Speaker Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye and Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe (Aladesanmi III).
In a statement on the X page of the Senate Leader, over 5,000 beneficiaries in Ekiti Central were empowered with a range of valuable resources aimed at boosting local businesses and education.
The initiative provided one caterpillar tractor, 10 diesel engine tractors, 536 sewing machines, and 303 chest freezers to support various enterprises. Additionally, 1,900 individuals received grants of ₦100,000 each to help grow their businesses.
The empowerment effort also included educational supplies, with 1,000 mathematical sets, 10,000 school bags, 1,000 calculators, and 40,000 notebooks distributed to students in public schools within the constituency.
The statement reads:
“The Senate Leader on Thursday was accompanied to the venue of the empowerment programme he organized for his constituents of Ekiti Central Senatorial District by Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji; Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Christianah Afuye, Speaker Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye and Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe (Aladesanmi III), among other notable Nigerians.
“The Leader empowered no fewer than 5,000 constituents across the five local government areas of the district with one caterpillar tractor, 10 diesel engine tractors, 536 sewing machines, 303 chest freezers while 1,900 others received a grant of ₦100,000 each to boost their various businesses.
“Other empowerment items include 1,000 mathematical sets, 10,000 school bags, 1,000 calculators and 40,000 notebooks for students in public schools within Ekiti Central.
“He also gave out 180 motorcycles, 165 tricycles and 20 mini buses to ease transportation within the senatorial district, in addition to 146 organic liquid fertilizers, 57 corn seeders and 10 engine tractors for farmers to boost food security in the state.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>>
