A 27-year-old Nigerian woman has recently shared her celebration on Facebook after obtaining a PhD in mathematics from a South African university.
Despite receiving a D7 in her WAEC certificate and a C6 in her NECO certificate in the same subject, Grace Ogwo managed to achieve a First Class Honours and became the top-performing student in her department during her undergraduate studies in Mathematics.
She was ultimately awarded her PhD after publishing 20 research papers.
She wrote;

“Bsc (Mathematics) first class honours (Mouau) best graduating student mathematics department
“Msc (Mathematical sciences ) 72% ( university of cape town, south Africa)
“Msc (mathematics ) 81% summa cum laude (university of kwazulu-natal , south Africa)
“PhD Mathematics (20 publications)
“God you really overdid yourself. Thank you, Jesus”
