Giant Social platform, Meta-owned instant messaging platform, WhatsApp, Popularly known as the ‘Green App’ has revealed that it will be ending its support for about 49 smartphone devices including iPhone, Samsung, etc on the 31st of December, 2022.
This simply means that after Saturday, which marks the last day of the year, users of those smartphones will no longer able to get updates – including new features and security updates from WhatsApp platform, and eventually, the service will stop working for them.
It should be noted that most of the smartphones in the list are years old and their chances of usage are by very select people. In fact, some of these devices are so old that there may not be anyone using the smartphones.
Below is a list of some of the smartphones affected and by 31st of December, 2022 WhatsApp would end its support with them:
