Security Operatives Arrest Man Stealing Cables Worth N20m In Ogun

Titus Joshua, 30, was taken into custody by Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) operatives for allegedly stealing cables and batteries in Agbara, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area.

LT cables valued at N20 million and heavy-duty batteries valued at N190,000 were allegedly taken by the suspect using a metal-cutting hacksaw.

The arrest was confirmed in a statement released by Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, the Corps’ Director of Information and Public Relations, on behalf of Commander Soji Ganzallo, the Office of the State Commander of the Corps.

“At about 0305hrs on 16th January 2024, the officers of the Corps, Agbara Divisional Command on a special duty sighted the one Titus Joshua jumping through the fence with his accomplice into Wasco Cable Company along Hayat road, Agbara,” the statement read.

“As at the time of the arrest, the exhibit recovered from the scene are heavy duty batteries, worth 190,000 and LT cables worth N20m with a hacksaw for cutting metals.

“The apprehended suspect and the exhibit recovered have been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Agbara Divisional Headquarter for further investigation and likely prosecution.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]
