Ruger has disclosed his reasons for leaving his previous record company and taken aim at them.
The musician claims he quit Jonzing World, a Nigerian record label and management business started by D’Prince, because the label had grown too used to the money they were making off of him and was no longer able to push him.
He wrote on X: “As much as I’m very appreciative of the fact that Jonzing World introduced me to the world, I just couldn’t continue with them because they got too comfortable with the money they were making from me and couldn’t push me further as I wanted to be pushed. Was supposed to renegotiate the contract but I couldn’t imagine 5 years more without action.”
He added: “Dey use my money Dey fund new artist, leaving me in the dark, not being transparent. I just laugh how e be now.”
Furthermore, he implied that he is afraid for his life and is unable to talk anything about the matter.
Ruger established BlownBoy Entertainment, his own record company, following his departure from Jonzing World.
