Cristiano Ronaldo will pocket a jaw-dropping £492 million over two years after signing a new contract with Al-Nassr — a deal that now sees him earning an astonishing £488,000 every single day.
The 40-year-old Portuguese superstar has extended his stay in the Saudi Pro League following months of uncertainty around his future.
As part of the new agreement, Ronaldo has also secured an ownership stake in the club, solidifying both his influence on and off the pitch.
Confirming the deal on social media, Ronaldo posted:
“A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together.”
The announcement comes despite the former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus forward having turned 40 earlier this year — and with it, a significant pay rise.
His new contract didn’t go unnoticed, as former teammate David De Gea joked in the comments:
“And playing for free 😂👀”
The Spanish goalkeeper’s reaction captured what many fans were thinking, considering the sheer scale of Ronaldo’s new package.
In addition to his daily earnings, the Portugal captain has also been named a “dream ambassador” — a role that reportedly comes with even more perks.
His new terms include a £24.5 million signing bonus, which will rise to £38 million if he sees out the second year. He also stands to earn £4 million if he wins the Golden Boot and £8 million for delivering the league title.
As part of his lifestyle arrangement, Ronaldo will have access to 16 full-time personal staff, including chefs, housekeepers, drivers, security, and gardeners — services worth around £1.4 million.
He’ll also enjoy exclusive use of a £4 million private jet, and stands to earn up to £60 million in sponsorship deals from Saudi companies.
Arguably the most remarkable detail is Ronaldo’s 15% ownership stake in Al-Nassr, a move that aligns with his long-term vision of becoming a football club owner.
