Rivers Police Begins Search Of Officers Sighted Brutalising Lady In Viral Video

The Rivers State Police Command has revealed it has begun search for the officers involved in the alleged brutalisation of a lady in a viral video during a stop and search operation in the state, freshreporters media reports.

According to the statement by the Rivers state police command, revealed efforts to identify the officers in question have begun.

“The attention of the Rivers State Police Command has been drawn to this trending video,” the statement was shared on the commands X page (#RiversPoliceNG) read Saturday, 2nd of September, 2023.

“The Command wishes to inform the general public that all hands are on deck to identify the police officers in the trending video for proper investigation,” it added.

Human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, who shared the viral clip on his Facebook page Friday, called for the intervention of the Rivers State Police Command.

Also tagging the Police Force Public Relations Officer, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in the same post, Gwamnishu wrote, “Dear @adejobimuyiwa, Jennifer was yesterday allegedly badly beaten by your officers on ‘stop and search’ around Ada George, Rivers State @PoliceNG_Rivers.
