President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday received Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, at the State House in Abuja.
According to a post on the X handle of Tinubu’s spokesperson, Dada Olusegun, Tinubu conferred on Gates the national honour of Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) in recognition of his significant contributions to global health, development, and humanitarian efforts, particularly in Nigeria and across Africa.
The President commended Gates and his foundation for their continued support in critical sectors such as healthcare, education, and agriculture.
The post reads:
