The Nigerian President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the payment of 12 attack helicopters for the Army.
The Chief of Army Staff, Taoreed Lagbaja, announced this in his opening speech during the maiden Nigerian Army Aviation seminar in Abuja on Tuesday, September 26.
He said:
“I am pleased to announce that Mr. President commander in chief of the armed forces of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, grand commander of the order of the Federal Republic, has approved payment for the initial 12 MD 530 Cayuse attack helicopters that will see to the operationalisation of the Nigeria Army Aviation.
