Philip Shaibu, the Former Deputy Governor of Edo state, has declared support President Bola Tinubu needs another four years to complete what he has started.
Shaibu, Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Sports (NIS), said Tinubu’s policies are already yielding results and should be consolidated with another term.
He spoke at the institute’s headquarters in Lagos on Friday while addressing staff and sports stakeholders.
The NIS DG said the president inherited a struggling economy and is implementing reforms to stabilise the country.
His words:
“President Tinubu is laying the foundation for economic growth. We are already seeing signs of recovery and I believe he needs another four years to complete what he has started.”
He urged Nigerians to remain patient and support the administration.Japan trip
Shaibu, who was appointed NIS DG in April, said his position has given him a vantage point to appreciate Tinubu’s commitment to youth development and sports.
