One Point-of-Sale operator on Friday, 15th of March, 2024, thwarted an attempt by a customer, identified as Linda Ihebinike, to make transaction with fake naira notes to the tune of N90,000 in Lagos State.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed this on his X page on Sunday, 17th of March, 2024.
According to Hundeyin, the PoS operator raised the alarm after Ihebinike attempted to use fake N1,000 notes to make a purchase totaling N90,000.
Hundeyin wrote,
“A vigilant POS operator raised the alarm after a customer, Linda Ihebinike, attempted carrying out a transaction with fake N1,000 notes to the tune of N90,000. Investigation is ongoing.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
