Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, has revealed that some policemen have been nabbed for extortion in Osun State.
This comes after a trending video popped up on Friday via social media platforms. It was noted that a crowd in the company of the state’s Speaker of the House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, could be seen telling the policemen to refund the money transferred into their account.
Reacting to the video, the FPRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi confirmed in a tweet that the said officers involved in the act have been arrested and said necessary action will be taken against them.
Adejobi tweeted,
“The Commissioner of Police Osun State, CP Kehinde Longe, has acted on this. The officers have been arrested, and necessary action would be taken.
“The PPRO osun has been ordered to update us on the actions taken. We have zero tolerance for extortion and corruption in general.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>
