Police Force PRO Confirms Arrest Of Rivers Cops Seen Assaulting Man In Viral Video (Photo)

CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Nigerian Police Force Public Relations Officer, PPRO, has revealed the arrest of the police officers who were seen in a viral video shared on social media assaulting a man in the Emohua area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, freshreporters reports.

Recall that the police PPRO condemned an assault of a yet-to-be-identified man by some police officers in a video that went viral on social media platforms.

Freshreporters had gathered in the video where a police man was seen assaulting a man in front of his wife in Rivers State.

The force PRO made this known on his Twitter handle on Monday, describing the act as quite unfortunate, unpolice, unethical.

The viral video shared on social media showed the moment a police officer was beating and slapping a man in Port Harcourt.

Condemning the act, CSP Adejobi said,

, “ Quite unfortunate. I have asked the Rivers State Command to fish them out. This is
unpolice, unethical, and condemned.

“ Whatever the man must have done, he doesn’t deserve this beating.

“ Beating him like a baby?? A grown-up man?. We will surely get the men.”

However, in a new posted shared by Adejobi, via his Twitter handle on Tuesday revealed the arrest of the police officers.

Sharing photos of the three men, he said, “Inspector Adejoh Siaka; Inspector Friday Obaka, and Sgt. Ndiwa Kpuebari from Rivers State. These are the men who slapped a man on the road in Rivers. They reported at the Force Headquarters today. Trial will soon commence. We will update you as soon as possible. Thanks.”
