- Three customers were paraded by the police in Gombe in connection with the death of a drug dealer.
Three murder suspects, who are believed to have been customers of a deceased drug dealer, were presented to the public by the Gombe State Police Command.
Mahid Muazu Abubakar, the spokesperson for the command, revealed that these people were among a group that was publicly displayed for committing various offenses within the state.
Abubakar revealed that the investigation exposed the involvement of the three murder suspects in a clash with the drug dealer, resulting in injuries to his back and head that ultimately caused his death.
Mustapha Mato from Deba town brought to light the incident, which was reported on February 12, 2024.
According to Mato’s report, Samaila Yusuf (now deceased) was attacked by Dangunde Abba, Abdulsalam Shehu, and Abdulmalik Garba, who reside in Anguwan East, Deba town. The attackers used a cutlass to inflict deep cuts on Yusuf’s back and head. Despite being quickly taken to the hospital, Yusuf eventually passed away due to the injuries he has sustained.
A comprehensive investigation was launched by detectives of the Deba Police Division, which uncovered that the injuries sustained by the deceased were a result of a disagreement with his clients.
