The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has instructed its members to halt operations across the country.
This directive was outlined in a statement issued by the IPMAN Chairman, Mohammed Kuluwu, on Tuesday.
The reason given was the unfavorable business conditions, including difficulties in sourcing and selling fuel at a loss, as well as government policies mandating the selling of fuel at a loss for marketers.
As a result, many filling stations in the capital are currently not providing fuel, leading to an increase in black market activity.
Despite government efforts, fuel scarcity continues to be a persistent issue in Nigeria.
