The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has revealed why he discontinued the use of a female secretary after his pastoral duties increasingly extended late into the night.
He stated that the choice was rooted in self-awareness and a commitment to avoiding circumstances that could risk moral integrity.
Adeboye explained that his schedule often kept him working until 2 or 3 a.m., making it essential to establish clear personal boundaries.
While acknowledging that some might view the decision as discriminatory, he emphasized it was a conscious measure to protect his integrity and uphold discipline, recognizing his own human limitations.
The cleric praised his former female secretary, describing her as a faithful Christian who served diligently during his earlier ministry in Ebute Metta. He clarified that the decision was unrelated to her character or professional competence.
