Pandemic: Calabar Carnival Resumes After Two-year Break

Eric Anderson, the commissioner for culture and tourism development in Cross River State, has stated that the Calabar Carnival, will resumes it normal stand after a two-year break.

Eric Anderson announces via an interview with the newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.

He noted that the carnival is set to begin on the 1st of December, 2022 to on the 31st of December, 2022 after a two-year break caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

It was also gathered that the carnival will now have seven competing bands up from five brands number. Also there will be different song and stage productions, award ceremony, choreography, music, power week, bikers day, beauty pageant, street parties, beach soccer, old school parties, among others during the carnival set to commence on the 1st of December, 2022.
