Miss Universe 2024 first runner-up Chidimma Adetshina has revealed her intention to quit pageantry due to personal reasons and traumatic experiences.
In a recent Silverbird TV interview, Adetshina expressed shock at her top 2 finish but revealed the emotional toll pageantry took on her.
She shared that there were times when she almost quit during the Miss Universe contest.
Her participation came amidst earlier headlines when she withdrew from the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant following controversy surrounding her ties to the country.
During the interview, she said:
“Finishing in the top 2 [at the Miss Universe competition] is still a shocker for me… Honestly, I am done. Pageantry was a real traumatic experience for me.
“People still don’t understand how I felt. There were times when I almost quit during the Miss Universe contest. I’m really done with pageantry. I want to focus on myself and establish who I am. And forward my education as well.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
