Over 100 churchgoers have reportedly been abducted in a series of coordinated attacks by suspected bandits in the Kurmin Wali area of Kajuru Local Government, Kaduna State. According to sources, the assailants struck multiple churches while Sunday services were in session, firing gunshots and forcing worshippers into nearby bushes.
A source with family members among the victims described a systematic operation, with the attackers moving from one church to another, “carting away worshippers in large numbers.” The bandits are said to have later released approximately 10 vulnerable individuals, while the rest remain in captivity, their whereabouts unknown.
