‘Outcry’ on Twitter as fuel scarcity persists

Tweeps have expressed grievance over the persistent fuel scarcity in the country.

Fuel scarcity has resurfaced in the federal capital territory, FCT, Lagos state and other major cities in Nigeria amid a pump price hike of fuel price from N170 per litre to N185 per litre, an 8.8 percent increase from the initial price.

However, continued scarcity has elicited some reactions from Nigerians via Twitter platform.

One of the tweep identified as OgunlanaSeyifu1 wrote, “Fuel scarcity, no light, increase in tfare, increase in the prices of foodstuffs. Please, how are you guys coping? I have never been this frustrated. What’s going on in this life gan gan ?????”

Also, cassy_njoku wrote, “Nepa barely brings light, there is fuel scarcity. So most cannot afford fuel, then there is mosquito disturbing your sleep even in darkness. Yet most Nigerians want APC. Lmaoo, Na wa. But don’t worry, APC, everyday for the thief, one day for the owner. And then there is freedom.”

“I am tired of this fuel issue. Most people are not even complaining again, everyone is just dealing with the hike and scarcity on a lowkey” says Olamide0fficial.

Another tweep identified as Sports_Doctor2 also tweeted, “This is a country stupendously rich in CRUDE OIL queuing up to buy fuel because of fuel scarcity. Yet people are getting ready to vote for the people responsible for this mess to continue.”

Also deyemialaga wrote, “This much is clear, corporate workers were paid mid or late December and celebrated the xmas in the midst of the scarcity of fuel. Now Jan, still in the scarcity situation making these workers pay more on transportation, what is the govt of Nigeria useful for?:

“So this fuel scarcity (Lagos) has been on for what, like, 3 months now? Is there even an end in sight? What is really going on in this country?” officiallyk10 decried

Lastly, Elkrosmediahub Who tweeted, “ We are probably gon experience this fuel scarcity until the handover in May. God! May this government never happen to anyone again. Amen”

Report gathered from the oil marketer revealed that fuel scarcity became worst as a result of the inability of the dealers to access the product from the only two depot dispensing the commodity.
