Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC boss has today stated that 76 per cent of registered voters in Osun State have their Permanent Voters Card, PVC.
The INEC chairman disclosed this in the Election stakeholder’s Meeting, organised by INEC Osogbo, Osun state today Tuesday, 12th of July, 2022 ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
Mahmood disclosing the current voters registered in the state, said, “Many of the PVCs have already been collected by citizens. Of the 1,955,657 registered voters in Osun State, 1,479,595 (or 76%) have collected their cards as at Sunday 10th July 2022.” He said
While Speaking at the event today, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, also appealed to both electorate and politicians to be cautioned and follow the election rules and be peaceful in their conduct during the election that is coming up on Saturday this week.
