Opposition parties woos Tinubu for political appointments

Presidential candidates of some opposition political parties in the month of February 2023 general elections have reportedly began to lobby for appointments in the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration.

It was gathered that the presidential candidates met with the National chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Thursday, 31st of August where they lobbied for inclusion in the present administration.

Accordingto the reports gathered, the Presidential candidates are of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Action Democratic Party (ADP), National Rescue Movement (NRM), and Action Peoples Party (APP), among others.

The candidates who are under the aegis of the Forum of Concerned Presidential Candidates said the need for peace and development of the country informed their decision not to challenge the victory of President Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT)

Ambassador Felix Johnson Osakwe, the spokespersons of the forum and Presidential candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), assured the president and the party that they were for peace and are willing to serve the country in whatever capacity the Tinubu administration deems fit for them.
