Wisdom Nwedene, a Nigerian journalist and lover of sport has cautioned Victor Osimhen to stop raising himself high. This comes amid the ongoing feud between the star player and Finidi George, the super eagles coach.
The Nigerian team performance in the ongoing FIFA World Cup qualifiers caused outrage as Nigeria team was humiliated among it peers. In the process, Finidi and Osimhen had a feud after the head coach claimed that Osimhen is feeling too big, he then resigned.
The controversy sparked reaction as Osimhen took to his instagram handle on 15th of June, 2024 to debunk such claim stating that he was on injuries. The feud however sparked outrage among Nigerians.
However, Wisdom who dropped his two cent on the lingering issue said,
“I watched his interview where he totally disrespected Nigeria fans, insulted Finidi George and NFF. In as much as I have been agitating for Finidi George’s Sack, I don’t expect such insult from Osimhen!.
Can Osimhen Insult Napoli coach and fans this way? When the same Osimhen was mocked by Napoli via their social media handle, he didn’t come out to rant this way!.
These same Nigerian fans he is insulting came out to fight for him till Napoli addressed the issue.
