Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency has nabbed one Akwa-Ibom pastor, Anietie Okon Effiong, today (Sunday) with three drums of crystal methamphetamine locally known as mkpurummiri.
The illicit drugs is believed to have been imported down from India.
In a statement issued out by the operatives of NDLEA, the consignment was intercepted during a stop-and-search operation along Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene highway on over the weekend (Saturday) in the state.
It was reported that each drum found with the suspect was packed with 30kg of crystal methamphetamine and was meant for Pastor Anietie Okon Effiong, who was arrested in a follow-up operation at Oron beach in Oron.
