An enraged crowd in Umuahia, Abia State, is said to have burned alive two young men who are suspected of being “one chance” thieves who steal from passengers.
The young men are accused of robbing their victims of their possessions, hypnotizing them or frightening them with sharp items, and then hacking their phones to take money out of banks.
An enraged throng surrounded them when they were discovered outside the Golden Guinea Breweries on Aba Road in the city of Abia.
Once they got back onto their tricycle, a passenger who had supposedly been robbed by them before alerted them to their whereabouts.
A mob, some of whom had already been robbed, was drawn in by the alarm.
Seeing that the group was growing, the suspects allegedly admitted to their crimes and began pleading for forgiveness.
Defying threats from the enraged throng to set them on fire, the young men were spared certain deaths by the prompt intervention of a few elderly members from the crowd. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
