The wife of popular on-air personality Nkubi has shared an emotional account of the resistance she faced from her family after deciding to marry the man she loves.
Speaking publicly for the first time, she explained, “My parents passed away in 2014, so they weren’t around when I made the decision. I didn’t tell any of my siblings at first. I come from a polygamous home, so I only informed my direct siblings my mother’s children about the person I wanted to marry.”
She recalled that the news came as a shock to them. “It was completely unexpected. There were a lot of emotions, questions, and even rejection, but I stood my ground,” she said.
Despite the initial pushback, she remained resolute in her choice, highlighting her resilience and determination to pursue personal happiness against familial opposition.
