The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has nabbed 11 suspects after intercepting a wooden boat conveying suspected bags of illegally refined diesels and kerosene products valued at 15,000 litres at a community bordering between Rivers and Bayelsa State.
The NSCDC commandant, Bayelsa State Command, Eweka Douglas, disclosed this in a video seen on X post on Friday, 14th of June, 2024.
He said:
“Through our intelligence we’ve had some unscrupulous element trying to ferrying in some Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) products they’ve gotten through bunkering, and they brought it to waterside. Based on our intelligence they were arrested, and I have to come here physically to see what they are doing.

Had it been there’s no demand, people will not just puncture it for nothing. But these people keep on demanding more and more. And you will think they are women, but they are the one actually initiating the move.
“By their demand these people will go as far as destroying the pipeline. And we as a responsible organisation we won’t stay here and allow these unscrupulous elements to keep destroying the economy of the country.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
