NSA rescues 128 k!dnap victims from bándits camp, hands them over to Zamfara state government

A total number of 128 kidnap victims, who were rescued from bandits’ camps in the Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, have been handed over to the state government.

The victims were presented to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, by the National Coordinator of the National Counter-Terrorism Centre, Major General Adamu Laka, in Abuja on Tuesday.

Major General Laka explained that the victims were freed during two separate, coordinated security operations conducted earlier in August.

According to him, the first group of 42 individuals was rescued on August 14. This group included 14 males, 27 females, and a toddler.

A second and larger group, consisting of 88 individuals, was freed on August 19. The second rescue operation secured the release of 34 males and 54 females.

The rescued victims are now under the care of the Zamfara State government for rehabilitation and reintegration.
