The National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, has revealed that terror kingpins Kachalla Boka, Dogo Isah, and Kachalla Shekau who previously controlled areas along the Abuja–Kaduna corridor, have been eliminated by security forces.
Speaking on Tuesday at Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation interactive session in Kaduna, Ribadu said:
“You drive from Abuja to Kaduna now because we killed those bastards: Kachalla Boka, Dogo Isah, and Kachalla Shekau were in control of those areas.”
He further emphasised the significance of recent security progress: “Even last night, we drove from Abuja; all the ministers, we stopped everyone from flying.”
Ribadu’s remarks point to a shift in how government officials including ministers, are now able to travel by road rather than rely on air transport through the previously dangerous corridor.
He credited decisive security operations and oversight from the Nigerian Air Force for dismantling the bandits’ control and restoring confidence in land travel.
