NPF partner UNDP, GS foundation for advanced facilitator training

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has partnered with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the GS Foundation to implement an Advanced Facilitators Training Program.

The program is aimed at enhancing the instructional and leadership capabilities of police officers.

The program took place at the National Institute of Police Studies (NIPS), Abuja, and runs in two sessions from February 10th to 15th and from February 17th to 22nd, 2025.

This was contained in a statement by the Force’s Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Thursday, 20th of February 2025.

The statement reads:

“The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the GS Foundation, has implemented an Advanced Facilitators Training Program aimed at enhancing the instructional and leadership capabilities of police officers. The training, held at the National Institute of Police Studies (NIPS), Abuja, runs in two sessions from February 10th to 15th and from February 17th to 22nd, 2025.

“The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, was represented at the opening session by Commissioner of Police, Department of Training and Development, CP Rashad B. Afegbua, psc, mnips. The training participants were carefully selected based on their outstanding performance in the Basic Facilitators Program. This advanced program aims to further equip them with high-level facilitation skills, enabling them to serve as facilitators to other officers, thereby ensuring a sustainable capacity-building framework within the Force.

“The NPF appreciates the UNDP and GS Foundation for their invaluable support in sponsoring this program, further strengthening the Force’s commitment to professionalism, excellence, and improved service delivery.
