NPAN Applauds Edun and Idris on Ministerial Appointments as Tinubu Swears In Ministers

The Newspaper Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN) has expressed its approval of the appointments of Mr. Olawale Edun and Alh. Mohammed Idris as ministers, deeming them well-deserved.

Recently, President Bola Tinubu allocated portfolios to the ministerial nominees who had received clearance for appointment from the Senate.

Tinubu designated Edun, a former Lagos State Commissioner of Finance, as the new Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy.

Meanwhile, Idris was appointed as the Minister of Information and National Orientation.

Mr. Edun, known for his background in economics, previously served as the Chairman of Vintage Press, the publishers of Nation Newspapers.

Alh. Idris, recognized as a public relations expert and media entrepreneur, holds the position of Publisher at the Blueprint newspapers.

Both Edun and Idris were executive members of NPAN. Edun served as the treasurer, while Idris held the position of general secretary.

Mallam Kabiru Yusuf, the President of NPAN, conveyed the association’s congratulations to the newly appointed ministers.

He commended their impressive resumes and track records, recognizing their potential to contribute significantly to the nation’s development during this crucial period.
