Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dismissed threats of disciplinary action from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over his acceptance of a ministerial appointment under President Bola Tinubu’s administration in 2023.
Speaking during a media chat in Abuja on Monday, Wike revealed that he formally notified the PDP at both the zonal and national levels before taking up the role, and that no objections were raised at the time.
Addressing mounting criticism and calls for his expulsion from the party, Wike fired back at his detractors, declaring that no one within the PDP has the courage to remove him.
He said:
“No one can sack me.
“I am still in PDP. I worked hard for the party. I have not seen anybody who will have the guts to tell me, Wike, you are not a member of the party. Who is that? What is his contribution to the party that is more than me.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
