The collaborative forces of 63 Bde Garrison, 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, and the Department of State Services (DSS) carried out a successful clearance operation, resulting in the destruction of a fortified enclave belonging to the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)/Eastern Security Network (ESN) at Asaba, Delta State.
It was gathered that the operation took place in the early hours of today, Saturday 22 July 2023.
The targeted enclave, strategically located in a forested high ground, was considered a significant stronghold of the proscribed groups, known for their involvement in various illicit activities.
The raid operation, executed with precision and coordination, aimed to dismantle the criminal infrastructure and curb their activities in the region.
The joint forces, equipped with advanced tactical measures, penetrated the heavily guarded area, engaging in a fierce encounter with the criminal elements. Through their relentless efforts, the troops successfully neutralized the threat posed by the IPOB/ESN in the area. (CONTINUE READING HERE)
