A second-year university student, identified as Khaleed Oladipo, has died after being stabbed during a violent altercation in Leicester, United Kingdom.
The incident occurred near De Montfort University. Emergency services, including four ambulances and an air ambulance, were dispatched to the city centre after police received reports of a serious assault. Oladipo was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
According to police, Oladipo, who was residing in Leicester as a student, was involved in a confrontation before he was stabbed. The assailant fled the scene before authorities arrived.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that Oladipo’s cause of death was a stab wound to the chest.
Leicestershire Police have arrested an 18-year-old suspect on suspicion of murder. The individual remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
